ok breaking news:
david beckham is leaving real madrid to play for LA Galaxy in the US. his deal is worth 128million pounds which is 250million US dollars over 5 years. which means he will earn approximately
ONE MILLION DOLLARS A WEEK!!!!
this translates approximately to 492 000 pounds a week. let me put this in perspective for you. the highest paid footballer we can think of now would be michael ballack earning 121 000 pounds a week. beckham will earn a little more than 4 times of this.
according to forbes, the only athlete who will make more money than Beckham is Tiger Woods who makes 80million dollars a year. and even this is not confirmed, because if Beckham's endorsements are worth more than 30million, then he will leapfrog tiger woods.
i'm sorry i just had to post this, i almost fell off my chair when i read what his new deal was worth.
